When should we arrive in Miami, Florida?
All travelers should arrive in Miami no later than Sunday, March 28th to avoid any possibility of flight delays or cancellations. The ship departs on March 29th and if you are late, you will be left behind.
If you'd like to spend some time enjoying Miami before the cruise, MarieSam can assist you with booking a hotel stay and give suggeestions on things to do in the area.
Are kids invited on the trip?
No, this is an adults-only celebration. Every Virgin Voyages sailing is an experience created exclusively for adults, and the minimum age to book and sail is 18 years old.
Can I hold a booking without putting money down?
Of course, we'd be happy to save your spot! If you're booking more than 45 days before the voyage begins, we can hold your cabin for 24 hours - no strings attached. Please make sure to look at the payment schedule for other deadlines (click here).
What is included in my voyage?
Staying hydrated is a must for well-being at sea (and we prefer our Sailors feel their best), so enjoy any essential drinks on us, including water (still and sparkling, of course), non-pressed juice, soda, sachet tea, and drip coffee if you need a boost. Since WiFi is as essential as water to us, count that in, too. Entertainment experiences are also included. Plus, we'll cover restaurant dining and group fitness classes, too!
What time can we check into the ship?
All sailors must be on board at least 2 hours prior to the ship departing dock at 5pm. Please make sure to set aside ample time to check-in at the cruise dock.
What is the weather like? What should we pack?
Florida and the Caribbean is typically hot and humid throughout the year -- temperatures are usually in the high 80s to 90s. We recommend bringing light summer clothing and swimsuits. Other helpful essentials include sunblock, insect repellent, water shoes, swim coverups, flip-flops, sunglasses, etc. Also bring beach chic and evening attire for dinners and evening entertainment/nightclubs during the cruise.
Is alcohol included as part of the meals and cruise experience?
Virgin does include the Essentials drink package for every sailor (drip, coffee, still and sparkling water, juices, sodas and teas). However, alcoholic beverages and cocktails are not included with your fare.
How much do cruise drink packages cost?
On most cruise lines, drink packages can cost anywhere from $10–$100 per person, per day—and they’re sometimes required for every adult in the cabin, which can quickly add up to hundreds of dollars on top of your cruise fare.
Virgin Voyages does things differently. Essential drinks like still and sparkling water, sodas, juices, drip coffee, and tea are already included in your cruise fare. That means you don’t need an expensive “all-you-can-drink” package just to stay hydrated or enjoy a soda by the pool. For specialty cocktails, wine, or craft beer, we offer a Bar Tab (which can be shared) unlike some traditional cruise drink packages.
What’s a Bar Tab, and how does it work?
Bar Tabs are pre-purchased onboard credit set aside specifically to be spent on drinks — from alcohol bevs to fresh-pressed juices and elaborate coffee drinks. Available for purchase up until 24 hours before sailing, our Bar Tabs can be used both on the ship and at The Beach Club at Bimini.
They are not available for purchase on the ship and are non-refundable once your voyage starts, so if you like fresh-pressed juices, barista-crafted specialty coffees, phenomenal mocktails, spirited drinks, and alcoholic bevvies, make sure to add a Bar Tab to your booking. Bottoms up!
What’s in it for me?
Pre-purchase a $100, $200, $300, $500, $750, or $1000 Bar Tab and score bonus onboard credit to boost your drink experience. Go ahead, and reward yourself for your fabulous preplanning skills with a few extra drinks.

How do payments work when there are multiple people sharing a cabin?
When multiple guests are staying in a room together, they will all be listed on the invoice and each person can submit their payment for their share. If the 2nd or 3rd person drops out, then the room rate would be adjusted for the updated occupancy and the remaining occupant(s) would have to pay for that difference.
Are cruise shore excursions worth it?
Cruise shore excursions differ by destination; we recommend checking reviews by past Sailors before booking your shore excursions. Click here for excursion options in Cayman Isles
